Professional Meetings

In 2022, the BIEF and l’Institut français joined forces to sponsor an event for 15 literature and humanities publishers from the Maghreb, Lebanon and Egypt.

In 2025, the BIEF and the Institut français will continue this joint initiative of supporting exchanges between French and Arab World publishers. 

This program is aimed at Arabic-language publishers, as well as publishers whose catalogs include publications in Arabic and French. 

This event aims to broaden the network of Arab World participants in the French book market and to strengthen their ties with their French counterparts.

The program includes:

• round tables and workshops on the industry, its markets, professions and rights sales;
• meetings and discussions with authors and institutions;
• individual meetings with French publishers, visits to publishing houses and bookstores.
